The richness of the East of Madagascar

This trip consists in discovering green parks of eastern Madagascar, meeting lemurs and various species of animals which elected shelters there, enjoying the sun and beach « island of whales » to Sainte Marie.

A week rich in color and of meeting: the ochre red of the highlands, the green luxuriant of the east forest, the blue of the sea and the white sands of Sainte Marie. Immortalize unforgettable moments and especially the moment of escape with whales (between July and September)

After one night in Antananarivo, departure by car to the eastern part of Madagascar with stopover in the Andasibe Perinet Reserve to observe the largest lemur INDRI INDRI and other endemic species such as amphibians, reptiles or birds in lush rainforest that abounds in endemic plant species. Continue with the famous channel of Pangalanes with navigation to the private reserve of PALMARIUM. From there you will reach Tamatave always along the channel Pangalanes then continuation by boat to the Sainte Marie Island and return back to Tana by plane.

  • Day 1 : ARRIVAL IN TANA Upon your arrival, Meeting and greeting at the airport, transfer to the hotel. Overnight on bed and breakfast basis at the hotel.

  • Day 2 : TANA – ANDASIBE (150km +/- 4h) Drive to Andasibe on the National road n°2. The landscape diversification between Antananarivo and the East coast is characterized by the color brick's red of the highland houses which is replaced by the luxuriant green of the East Forest. on the way, visit to the butterfly farm in Marozevo to see an amazing concentration of chameleon, gecko, leaf-tailed gecko and butterfly of course. Continuation to Andasibe and overnight at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit to the private reserve of Vakôna Lodge to search other lemurs and their unique predator the "Fosa" Overnight on half board basis at the hotel

  • Day 3: EXPLORE THE RAINFOREST OF ANDASIBE. Full day devoted to explore the special Reserve of Analamazaotra A special reserve classified for discovery of Indri Indri, the largest of the Lemurs of Madagascar. Crossing the rainforest, discovering endemic plants and animals such as orchids and other species of lemurs, you will also explore the famous Vakona Island for close up experiences and many photo opportunities with the animals.   • Day 4: ANDASIBE / MANAMBATO (160km -03h00 drive)/ ANKANIN NY NOFY (about 30mn boat transfer) After breakfast, drive to Manambato, then continuation by motor boat transfer to Ankanin' ny Nofy, litterally means "Nest of Dreams". Free in the afternoon, possibility for visiting Palmarium reserve, a private reserve where several lemur species can be observed, a small village tour by boat is also possible.   • Day 5: ANKANIN NY NOFY / TAMATAVE (about 4h00 boat transfer) You spend the morning in Ankanin’ny Nofy, visit to the Palmarium reserve to see lemurs and various rare and endemic orchids, palm trees and carnivorous plants. After lunch, travel by boat to Tamatave through the Pangalane Channel where you will discover pandanus, ravinala, small fishermen villages...Arrival in Tamatave after 03hours of crossing and transfer to the hotel Overnight on half board basis at the hotel

  • Day 6 : TAMATAVE – SAINTE MARIE (vol intérieur) Breakfast and morning is free.
    Transfer to Mahambo for taking the boat to Sainte Marie.
    Sainte Marie, is a true tropical paradise, it has also an exceptional lagoon and paradise beaches. Thanks to its tropical climate, the island boasts lush vegetation which many species are endemic. The landscapes are diverse: on the South the small « Ile aux Nattes » with a magnificent lagoon, on the East the mangroves, on the North the natural swimming pools, the forests on the center and most activities to the West.   • Day 7&Day 8: SAINTE MARIE Stay at leisure. Overnight on half board basis at the hotel
    Different and many activities will be proposed to you : excursion to “île aux nattes” and Lemurs Island discovering, diving and snorkeling, some nautical activities like excursion by dugouts or motor boat, whale safari…

  • Day 9: SAINTE MARIE – TANA (domestic flight) Transfer to the airport according your flight schedule to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and transfer to your hotel and depending on your arrival; we can visit the old town of Madagascar history. Panoramic view of Antananarivo, the Queen Palace (under construction), and visits of Andafiavaratra Palace which shelters the exhibition of objects saved from the fire at The Queen Palace in 1995. Andohalo place which is the most ancient square in Antananarivo. After the visit, transfer to your hotel. Overnight on half board basis at the hotel

  • Day 10 : TANA –international flight Discover Antananarivo, its colorful life, its history and architecture. We spend the morning in the Old City where will be introduced to the architecture and urbanism of the capital of Madagascar. We will drive through the busy and vibrant streets of the capital. We will also visit the royal citadel of Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to learn about the history of the Madagascar kingdom and the rich culture of this island. Take advantage of the available time remaining to browse through the city and its handcraft market. Late in the evening you will be transferred to the airport. END OF OUR SERVICES
