This trip will allow you to discover the region of Menabe starting with a descent of the Tsiribihina River aboard a private barge and with overnights by tents to discover especially a landscape with luxuriant vegetations and for visiting the natural pools, caves and waterfalls. Landing at Belo Sur Tsiribihina where you take the car to continue the sports trip to the Tsingy of Beramaha. The two days on the spot allow you to visit the 02 essential parts "Petit and Grand Tsingy". Your stay will finish in Morondava where you'll take the flight back to Antananarivo.
Day 1 : ARRIVAL IN TANA On arrival in Antananarivo airport, you will be met and welcomed by your guide, who will assist with formalities including flight reconfirmation and currency exchange at an airport bank. You will be transferred to the hotel, to stay one night, breakfast included.
Day 2: TANA – ANTSIRABE – MIANDRIVAZO Breakfast at the hotel then drive the famous national road 7, which leads to the South of Madagascar. Our first stop will be in Ambatolampy where we will meet villagers who make handmade traditional pots from recycled aluminium. Then, we will reach the town of Antsirabe, known for its thermal waters and rickshaws. Free lunch at your charge and continuation to the Madagascar's Midwest to Miandrivazo. DAY 3 : FIRST DAY OF TSIRIBIHINA DESCENT After registration formalities in the town of Miandrivazo and provisioning for supplies, we embark on our boat with our crew for the first day of the descent on the Tsiribihina. Enjoy the landscapes, the valleys, the canyons. Every evening during the descent, we will set up camp and you will be sleeping in tents on the river's banks.
DAY 4 : SECOND DAY OF TSIRIBIHINA DESCENT Second day of the descent, You will cross several landscapes of Madagascar's Midwest. We will have several stops along the river during which we will have the opportunity to see some wildlife such as birds, crocodiles, lemurs, bats. At the end of the day we will spend some time in natural swimming pool and the waterfalls. Every evening during the descent, you will be sleeping in a tented camp on the river's banks.
DAY 5 : THIRD DAY OF TSIRIBIHINA DESCENT – DRIVE TO BEKOPAKA This is the final day of the descent. On that day you will visit the village of Begidro, a famous hub for the exploitation of tobacco and a former base for the occupation army earlier during the past century. In the village, you will have the opportunity to interact with villagers and witness their daily life. We will reach Belo sur Tsiribihina after lunch and then drive to Bekopaka, the gateway to the Tsingy. Overnight on half board basis at the hotel
DAY 6 : SMALL TSINGY VISIT AND PIROGUE RIDE ON THE MANAMBOLO RIVER In the afternoon you will have a pirogue ride to see the Manambolo river. You will navigate on a pirogue on one of Madagascar’s largest river between canyons and visit some caves hiding some stalagmites and stalactites. You will learn the role of the canyons in the traditions of the locals. We visit the small tsingy in the afternoon to finish with a sunset over this unique rock formation. DAY 7 : GREAT TSINGY VISIT Experience inspiring moments of a lifetime while hiking through caves, mazes, and the peaks of the breath-taking Tsingy of Bemaraha. This is a great hike which will start and end in the forest surrounding the Tsingy. You will then enter labyrinths and the so called cathedrals made of rocks before securely climbing to reach the top of the Tsingy. Before going down, you will cross the famous suspended bridge. Day 8:BEKOPAKA – MORONDAVA(200km +/-8h de piste) We leave the Tsingy of Bemaraha in the morning in order to reach Belo sur Tsiribihina at lunch time. We cross the Tsiribihina river again and drive to Morondava. In the afternoon we enter the world famous alley of Baobabs at sunset, one of the most beautiful show the nature can offer. We will stop there until the sun disappears before continuing to Morondava. Overnight on half board basis at the hotel
Day 9 : MORONDAVA – TANA (domestic flight) Breakfast and morning is free at the hotel according to your flight schedule Transfer to the airport and flight back to Antananarivo. Overnight on half board basis at the hotel
Day 10 : TANA –international flight Discover Antananarivo, its colorful life, its history and architecture. We spend the morning for visiting the royal citadel of Ambohimanga, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to learn about the history of the Madagascar kingdom and the rich culture of this island. Then continue to the Old City where will be introduced to the architecture and urbanism of the capital of Madagascar. We will drive through the busy and vibrant streets of the capital and to the handicrafts market for buying something for remembers your trip. You will be transferred to the airport in the evening for your international flight. END OF OUR SERVICES
