The National Road 7, one of the essential attractions of the destination « Madagascar. » This trip includes the exploratory expedition, the diversification of the landscape, the multiple meetings, the beauty of the exceptional handicrafts, with an exceptional biodiversity of the National park of Isalo.

The duration of this trip depend on your interest. You could do it on 9 nights or more with many stopovers in Antsirabe, Fianarantsoa, Manakara, Ranomafana and Ranohira. This trip will make you also visit to the both parks major of Ranomafana and Isalo and all essential sites along the way.
Possibility to have a beach stay extension in Ifaty, Anakao, or Salary at the end of the trip where you will be free to take your time for relax
You will be accompanied by a Malagasy guide, lover of his country during this trip.
Day 1 : ARRIVAL IN TANA (also known as Tana) Our representative will welcome you in Ivato's International airport. Meet your guide then transfer to you hotel. Transfer and accommodation on bed and breakfast basis at the hotel
Day 2 : TANA – ANTSIRABE (170km – 3hrs) Breakfast then drive to Antsirabe, known for its thermal waters and rickshaws. Stopover in Ambatolampy for lunch and visit of a workshop where they make cooking pots out of recycled aluminum, arrive in the hotel in Antsirabe. City tour of Antsirabe during which we will visit the market and some handcraft specialists. Accommodation on half board basis at the hotel
Day 3 : ANTSIRABE – FIANARANTSOA (236km – 5hrs) After breakfast, drive to Ranomafana. Stop in Ambositra for the visit of some Zafimaniry handicrafts centers: woodcarving. Lunch free at your charge and drive to Fianarantsoa Overnight on half board basis at the hotel
Day 4 : FIANARANTSOA – MANAKARA (Train only every Tuesday and Saturday) After an early breakfast, transfer to the railway station for your train to Manakara. Built between 1926 and 1936, the FEC is 163 km long, connecting the capital of Betsileo and Manakara. Train ride to Manakara throughout tropical forests and plantations through 48 tunnels and over 67 bridges. On every station, the local population sell food, according to the season, river crabs, grilled fish, bananas, manioc, rice cakes… Transfer from the railway station to the hotel. Overnight on half board basis at the hotel.
Day 5 : MANAKARA After breakfast, travel along the canal by pirogue to “troux de commissaire”. This is a beautiful place to relax and have a picnic lunch and swim before visiting coffee and vanilla plantations and fishermen’s villages. After this long day, return to your hotel. Overnight on half board basis at the hotel.
Day 6 : MANAKARA – RANOMAFANA (210km – 04h00) Drive to Ranomafana – a national park which is home to various species of lemurs, birds, reptiles. Upon your arrival, visit to the Ranomafana national park to discover its fauna and flora. Trekking into the park and see a range of lemurs, including Bamboo Lemurs and the rare diademed sifaka, birds, orchids, chameleons, butterflies, frogs and other wildlife. After the visit, possibility to visit the thermal town of Ranomafana, Overnight on half board basis at the hotel.
Day 7 - RANOMAFANA / RANOHIRA – ISALO (297 km) Departure to the national park of Isalo, possibility to visit to an Antaimoro paper fabric and a wine factory and the Anja park. This rocky park is the best place to see the ring tail lemurs in their natural environment. These animals, although wild, are easy to spot and so friendly they will take fruit from your hand. After the park your journey continues through a range of spectacular mountains to arrive at Isalo Park where you are free to relax for the rest of the day. Continue on to Ranohira. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 - RANOHIRA / ISALO Full day to discover the National Park of Isalo with endemic flora and exceptional fauna. The Park of l'Isalo stretches over 80000 km2 in southern Madagascar. Huge massive sandstone eroded, Isalo includes numerous deep canyons and caves present housing tombs bara used once or refuges for the Portuguese explorers and Arab traders. The Park of Isalo is among the most popular. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - ISALO / TULEAR After breakfast, leave for Tuléar across Mahafaly country decorated by funeral statues called aloalo. Lunch at your charge in Tuléar, city tour in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - TULEAR -TANA Transfer to the airport and flight back to Tana, Sightseeing tour of Tana with its thousand colors, lunch free at your charge in Tuléar or in Tana according to the schedule flight then drive back to the airport where our representative will assist you for your departure.
